Our Story
Local roots. A name we'll happily explain.
If you wanted more than the basics for your pet around here, you got in the car, and drove twenty-five or thirty minutes to a big-box store where nobody knows your name, your dog, or the fact that he's dramatic about having his nails touched.
We wanted to bring something to Pulaski for pet people, by pet people.
So, on June 22, 2026, we opened Tails & Toe Beans right on Main Street, a pet store built the way we'd want one built: carefully stocked, honestly priced, and run by people who live here.
If the name Broussard's rings a bell, that's because we're the same family behind
Broussard's General Store. You already know how we do business, we treat people like neighbors (because they are), and we don't stock things we wouldn't use ourselves.
Tails & Toe Beans is that same promise…just with more squeaky toys.
Curated, not crowded.
We'd rather carry eight food brands we can explain and stand behind than eighty we can't. Every product here earned its shelf space.

Premium doesn't have to mean unattainable. Our food wall runs from top-shelf to genuinely affordable, and we'll help you find the right fit without judgment, for your pet or your wallet.

We're not a chain. When you walk in, you're not a transaction, you and your pets are the reason there's a pet store in Pulaski.
OKAY, BUT WHAT IS A TOE BEAN?
Toe beans” is the internet's affectionate name for the squishy little pads on the bottom of your pet's paws the ones that look exactly like tiny jelly beans. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.
Those little beans are hard workers, too: they cushion every step like built-in sneakers, they sense ground temperature, and they're one of the only places cats and dogs can sweat. Adorable and functional. Just like this store, we hope.
